RUC Pump Range Data Sheet

Why the PUMPPAL RUC-750 Stands Out

Higher Flow Rate

91 L/min (vs. 80 L/min for DAB Esybox Mini 3 and 83 L/min for Grundfos SCALA2), making it the most efficient for water delivery in its class.

Superior Durability & Protection

UltraShield PCB Potting: 100% waterproof seal with IP67 protection, preventing 95% of moisture-related failures - a unique feature not offered by the other two.

Larger Expansion Tank

1.5 Litres (vs. 1.0 L for DAB and 0.65 L for Grundfos), which helps maintain consistent water pressure and reduces cycling.

Weatherproof Design

Rain-proof and sun-proof display panel cover (flip-open design), making it more suitable for outdoor or exposed installations.

Easier Maintenance

Controller split structure allows for easy replacement of parts, reducing downtime and repair costs.

Smart Connectivity

Built-in Wi-Fi and app control, similar to the DAB Esybox Mini 3, but not available in the Grundfos SCALA2.

Lightweight

8.9 kg (vs. 10.0 kg for Grundfos and 14.6 kg for DAB), making it easier to handle and install.

Cost-Effective

The best value for money with advanced features.

When to choose an alternative to the RUC-780

The Grundfos Scala 2 has the highest operating pressure and is the most compact. Please note that the joint Aus/NZ standard specifies that water pressure should be within a building shouldn't be higher than 500 kPa, so unless you have a large hill to pump water up, higher pressures shouldn't be necessary.

If high pressure and space limitations are vital to your needs, then you should go for the Grundfos Scala2.

The DAB Esybox Mini 3 has the best user interface 'on box' ( as opposed to in an app ) and the most flexible mounting options. It is also, very marginally, quieter than the other two models, but it is the difference of 45dB to 47dB. Most users will struggle to notice this, but if you are in a situation where you have to install it in the same room as you work or sleep then you may appreciate the lower sound level. The ratings for all three models listed are well within the 'quiet refrigerator hum' sound level.

So, if you need to mount in an unusual way, or have very specific sound level needs then the DAB Esybox can be a good option.

We believe that for the vast majority of homeowners the RUC-750 is the standout option with its advanced power system, interface, controls, reliability and more.
